CA-WHS Mentorship Program

β€œTeach. Encourage. Praise. Influence. Guide.  Inspire.”

Ready to Level Up in Your Career?

The CA-WHS Mentorship Program is designed to aid women as they prepare to advance in their homeland security career.

We connect women that are new, experienced, and experts in their profession with the women that need their genius the most. Through engagement and support, participants in this program are immersed in a collaborative environment (or sisterhood) that fosters success for both the mentor and the mentee.

Starting a new career is hard. Reaching the next rung of your career ladder is hard, too. But doing so within a predominantly male-operated industry is even harder. Just ask any woman that has worked in homeland security extensively.

Through mentorship, mentees receive the direction & support they need to thrive, and mentors gain a deeper sense of purpose in sharing their experiences with their mentees.

Mentorship Program Requirements:

  • Mentors; mentees will meet once a month to assess personal growth & accomplishments. We encourage less-formal check-ins between meetings as needed.

  • Current CA-WHS Member.

  • Participation in CA-WHS as a Member for at least six (6) months.

  • Mentorship Program participants must be 18 year or older.

In order to match the most fruitful of partnerships, we ask that all mentees and mentors complete the application below in great detail. There is no minimum job experience required for either role.
