Larissa Chiari-Keith, MPH

Larissa Chiari-Keith is the CEO and Founder of Alala Advisors, LLC where she provides homeland security, public health, and emergency preparedness planning solutions to public, private, and non-profit organizations. She is an award-winning consultant with over twenty years of experience of working at the intersection of public health and homeland security

Prior to her current role, Ms. Chiari-Keith served as a contractor to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office for sixteen years. In that role, she coordinated stakeholder outreach, emergency preparedness, exercise, special events, and response for a biological threat detection program in California. Previously, she served as the Bioterrorism and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the City of Pasadena Public Health Department. Ms. Chiari-Keith began her public health career as a children’s policy advocate and community liaison for The Children’s Partnership.

Ms. Chiari-Keith currently serves as President of California Women in Homeland Security, a non-profit professional organization. She is active in the community taking on a variety of leadership positions. She is a Girl Scout Troop Leader and active volunteer for Girl Scouts of Orange County. She is also a facilitator and organizer for Walking Together, an Orange County interfaith program. Ms. Chiari-Keith has written about her multicultural family experience for Orange Coast Magazine and served as past Vice President and Parent Liaison of the Multiracial Americans of Southern California. During school breaks she hosts a children’s music program with her daughters called Two Kids, a Turntable, and a Microphone on KSPC, 88.7 FM, Claremont, CA.
