Addressing Targeted School Violence & Responding to Mass Casualty Events

This training is designed to provide critical information on behavioral pre-incident indicators of targeted school violence and threat management strategies. It includes lessons learned from past mass casualty incidents. Participants will receive valuable information that will increase their effectiveness in preparing for and responding to a mass casualty event. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) SMART Team will discuss their role within the county and OCIAC will share social media data exploitation considerations. In addition, you will learn about the mass casualty event response from OCSD SWAT & critical life-saving techniques during a crisis event (stop the bleed).
