This 2.5-day course explores the role, design, and functions of Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) and their relationships in disaster recovery with the local level of government. It is intended to increase local government awareness of issues in disaster recovery by providing a forum for discussion of “lessons learned” in disaster recovery. It is designed to promote the development of a pre-disaster recovery plan at the county or local levels of government.
Audience: Local government disaster recovery professionals: elected officials, city/county administrators, emergency managers, public works personnel, building inspectors, and community planners.
