Using a variety of hazard scenarios and employing a series of progressive exercises, this course introduces participants to key emergency management principles and practices to build participants’ capabilities to operate effectively within a local, regional or state Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Course content includes California’s SEMS Introductory Course and Essential EOC Section/Position Training, providing individual certification toward California’s new EOC credentialing program. This course is also offered as a jurisdiction or area-specific course, customized to local hazards, plans and resources.
